Bio

Althea joined Longview Innovation in 2016 and is part of the investment team. She has experience in technologies ranging across the healthcare and biotech sectors, as well as an extensive research background in neuroscience, genetics, and molecular biology. Althea covers the life science sectors and is responsible for sourcing new investment opportunities and venture creation. On the portfolio side, Althea is a board member of several companies and often takes an operational role in early-stage investments.

Before joining the firm, Althea was Assistant Director of Licensing at the University of Pennsylvania. While there, she managed a large and diverse technology portfolio and was responsible for the associated intellectual property decisions, commercialization endeavors, and agreement negotiations.

She holds a PhD in Genetics from Yale University and a BA in Molecular Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley.
